A vehicle vs. pedestrian accident near Columbus Street and Union Avenue in Central Bakersfield Monday evening killed one.
Officers found an adult male in the street with major injuries. He was taken to the hospital and passed away hours later.
The vehicle was traveling southbound on Union Avenue when it hit a pedestrian in the intersection.
The accident was reported a little after 5:30 p.m.
Drugs, alcohol, or vehicle speed do not appear to be a factor for the driver. The investigation is ongoing.
