The next time you get into a fender bender, consider it somewhat of a rarity here in California. 

According to the 11th annual "Allstate America's Best Drivers Report," Bakersfield drivers are the ninth-safest in the state out of 43 cities surveyed. 

The survey looked at the average years between collisions and the likelihood of drivers ending up in a collision and found that Bakersfield drivers crash about once every nine years. The likelihood of Bakersfield drivers ending up in a collision is 11.7 percent.

Nationally, Bakersfield drivers are the 87th safest out of 200 cities polled.

Kansas City, KS is considered the safest when it comes to drivers. Residents there end up in a crash ever 13.3 years.
