An early morning fire in East Bakersfield leaves a house completely charred today.
A structure fire broke out near Gage and East 19th Street around 4:00 am. Bakersfield Fire crews responded to scene to work quickly to put out the fire.
However, the home sits off the ground without a concrete base which made it harder for firefighters to put out the blaze.
The fire is completely out by now.
There was one man inside when the fire broke out, but luckily he was okay.
Fire crews are mopping up scene and will investigate the cause of the blaze.
