BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The annual U.S. flag retirement and U.S. Army birthday celebration is coming up again this year, make sure you're there.

Festivities begin at 9 a.m. on June 14, at Greenlawn Southwest Cemetery on Highway 99 and panama road.

Participants are encouraged to bring any flags that are not fit to be displayed due to their rips and faded appearance for retirement ceremony.
