Attorney General Xavier Becerra is expected to announce a lawsuit against the Trump administration over the decision made in respect to DACA. Below is the statement released by the attorney general's office. 

California Attorney General Xavier Becerra will hold a press conference today at 11:00am PDT to announce a lawsuit against the Trump Administration for rescinding Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). He will be joined by DACA grantees from California. More than 200,000 – or one-in-four DACA grantees nationwide – live in California. 

Earlier this summer, Attorney General Becerra led 20 attorneys general in sending a letter to President Trump[oag.ca.gov] urging him to maintain and defend DACA. In the letter, the attorneys general explained how DACA has benefited their states and the nation as a whole and called on Trump to fulfill his public commitment to Dreamers.
