Bakersfield City and Kern County Fire crews got a quick handle on a fire at an apartment in East Bakersfield on Thursday.
The blaze broke out at 1625 Jefferson Street at around 3:25 p.m.
There was no word of any major damage or injuries.
It's unclear at this hour what led up to the fire.
