Bakersfield Condors begin training camp

Posted

The Bakersfield Condors' season is less than two weeks away but today the players start their training camp at Rabobank Arena.

It has been a busy off season for the Bakersfield condors. The biggest change they are now a part of the AHL just one step away from making it to the NHL.

Training camp gets underway this morning as the team prepares to hit the ice for their pre-season games this weekend and their season opener next week.

Now a part of the AHL the Condors made some renovations over the summer including an expanded locker room and workout facility.

Training camp will be held at the arena but is closed to the public. An open house is scheduled for later this week where fans can pick up tickets, visit the locker rooms, and even meet some of the players.

The open house is Tuesday and Wednesday from 3 to 7 pm here at Rabobank Arena and admission is free as long as you donate two nonperishable food items.

An open practice is scheduled for October 7th at 10 am. The Condors' season kicks off on October 9th.
