The Bakersfield Fire Department responded to a house fire near Isil Ave. and South H St. in south Bakersfield.
BFD says the entry way of the home initially went up in flames and that the home was severely damaged on the inside.
The department also said that the home had been empty since Friday; no injuries were reported.
It's unknown what caused the fire; an arson investigator is on scene. This story is developing, check back for updates.
