BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Six Bakersfield students got a chance to soar across Bakersfield at Meadows Field on Friday thanks to the Young Eagles Program and Bakersfield Flying Club.
Longtime pilot and engineer, David Nance, has taken local students on more than 100 flights.
The Young Eagles Program takes teenagers on free flights, teaching them about how planes works and even helping them get a pilot’s license.
