The Bakersfield Police Department is hosting an information session today in hopes of recruiting those interested in becoming an officer with the department.
The department is currently hiring for a paid academy, which closes on October 3, 2017.
The session will take place today, September 27, 2017 at the Weill Building located on 2100 Chester Avenue in room 124 and the Westside Substation located on 1301 Buena Vista Road.
