The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance identifying and locating a suspect wanted for armed robbery.

On June 30, 2016 at about 11:15 a.m. the suspect pictured below entered the Rite Aid at 1601 23rd Street, stole items and attempted to leave without paying. When confronted by a store employee, he swung a knife at the employee and fled with the loss.

The employee was not injured.
