Bakersfield Police looking for suspect who robbed laundromat at gunpoint

The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect who robbed laundromat at gunpoint.

On Sunday, September 3, 2017, the suspect entered the Thrifty Wash Plus Laundromat located at 1725 Columbus Street.

Once inside the business the suspect pointed a firearm at the victim and demanded the keys to her vehicle. After obtaining the loss the suspect entered the victim’s vehicle and fled the scene.

The vehicle was later recovered abandoned in a nearby neighborhood.

The suspect is described as a:

Black male, 20-25 years of age, 5'10", heavy build, short black wavy hair, wearing a red bandana over his face, gray t-shirt, dark black shorts, white socks, dark colored shoes.
