BAKERSFIELD, CA. — Barks and Books is taking place today at Beale Memorial Library and Southwest Library from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Kids in kindergarten through 8th grade can practice reading out loud to Marley's Mutts therapy dogs.

The event takes place every second and fourth Wednesday of the month.
