BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Board of Supervisors is set to approve a proposal which would increase the salary range for certain classifications to comply with California Minimum Wage Law.
Effective at the start of the new year, the minimum wage will increase from $11 per hour to $12 per hour. Kern County HR proposes to increase the salary range or hourly rate of several classifications to remain compliant with state law.
According to the Board of Supervisors, this will have a fiscal impact of $539,000.
