UPDATE (May 30, 2017 4:47 p.m.): The man pulled from the river has been identified as 43-year-old Jose Sequic of Sylmar, California.

A body was pulled from the Kern River near Elizabeth Norris and Highway 178 Monday morning.

The body was found around 10:15 a.m. The man was in his mid-40's and had no rafting experience.
