Update (9 a.m.): Bakersfield Police say they have taken to the suspect in Monday's kidnapping and shooting into custody.
Police officials say the suspect may have had a previous relationship with the victim.

The Bakersfield Police Department is looking for any suspects connected to a shooting and kidnapping from Monday night.
According to BPD, a man and woman were driving eastbound on Meacham Road just off Calloway just before 11:30 Monday night.
A car drove up next to them and at least one gunshot was fired. That caused the victim to lose control of their car and run into a fence.
The suspect then stopped and got out of his car and demanded the woman to get into his car with him. She did and they drove off.
The woman who was taken, 26-year-old Mikaela Atuatasi, was eventually located by police.
No arrests have been made.
