BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A Bakersfield man has been arrested after officials found him carrying a loaded handgun and small bags of cocaine, according to BPD.
On April 20 around 8:50 p.m. Bakersfield Police say they made contact with 26-year-old Manuel Lopez at a downtown bar in the 1500 block of 19th Street.
During their investigation, police discovered that Lopez had a loaded unregistered 9mm handgun inside of a bag he was carrying. Cops also found several small bags of cocaine, currency, and other indications that Lopez was involved in illegal narcotic sales.
Lopez was arrested and booked into Kern County Jail for possession of a concealed loaded firearm in public, possession of narcotics while in possession of a firearm, and possession of narcotics for the purpose of sales.
