BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — This week, the Bakersfield Police Department is testing and recruiting for the position of Police explorer.
According to BPD the position works closely with the department while picking up skills such as administrative procedures, community relations, emergency dispatch, fingerprinting and more.
Testing will be held on May 23 between 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Rabobank Convention Center located on 1001 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield.
According to a tweet from Bakersfield police the person testing should be 14 1/2 - 20 years oof age with a picture or school ID.
