A fire broke out at the El Don Motel just before 6 a.m. on Wednesday.

15 firefighters and an arson team are on the scene and KCFD and BFD crews say the motel was abandoned and there was no power in the building.

No word on what caused the fire but it is considered suspicious by authorities.
