California Attorney General Xavier Becerra along with attorney generals from 18 other states are coming together in defense of a Colorado same-sex couple.
The attorney generals filed an amicus brief in the Supreme Court in support of a Colorado case involving a bakery owner who refused to sell a wedding cake to a same-sex couple citing religious beliefs and free speech rights.
The states are arguing that enforcing public accommodations laws in this case does not violate the right to free speech or free exercise of religion.
