The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) in cooperation with Union Pacific Railroads will conduct a full closure on State Route 184 between Edison Highway and Breckenridge Road in Kern County for railroad and roadway maintenance.
The lane closure will be as follows, weather permitting:
- State Route 184 will be closed between Edison Highway and Breckenridge Road Wednesday, September 14th from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. A posted detour will be available through this area.
This closure may continue for longer periods of time if necessary, due to delays caused by uncontrollable events that may occur during construction. Motorists may experience delays and are encouraged to take alternate routes whenever possible.
