The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct daytime closures this Sunday on State Route 58 and State Route 99 in Bakersfield.
The following closures will occur on Sunday, September 25th between 6:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., weather permitting:
- The #2 (right) lane on westbound State Route 58 will be closed between the northbound State Route 99 connector and Real Road.
- The westbound State Route 58 to southbound State Route 99 connector will be closed. A posted detour will be available.
- The westbound California Avenue on-ramp to southbound State Route 99 will be closed. This closure will include the #4 (right) lane on southbound State Route 99 between California Avenue and Stockdale Highway.
These closures may continue for longer periods of time if necessary, due to delays caused by uncontrollable events that may occur during Maintenance. This work is scheduled to take place, weather permitting. Motorists may experience delays and are encouraged to take alternate routes whenever possible.
