Campaigns make last minute effort for votes

Posted

Volunteers for the Trump campaign were still working on Monday, just hours away from Election Day.

Javier Reyes Jr. is a Trump supporter working at the local campaign office.

The call bank reaches out swing state voters and voters here in Kern County.

Across town the Kern Inyo and Mono Counties Central Labor Council was also making calls. The call bank is making a non-partisan effort to elect candidates supporting worker rights.

Both call banks working for months and are using the final hours to reach out to those last minute voters.

There have also been a number of robocalls and text messages going out from local candidates and proposition supporters.

Some voters say the calls don't sway their vote, but others say it helps them make an informed decision.

Both call banks plan on making calls all day tomorrow until the polls close at 8 p.m. on election night.
