BUTTONWILLOW, Calif. — The California Highway Patrol Buttonwillow is alerting drivers in mountain communities to use extra caution on the roads due to the rain.
CHP is asking drivers to lookout for fallen objects, such as rocks or debris, that could be caused by heavy rainfall.
They are also asking drivers to activate their lights and wipers while driving, slow down, be gentle with your brakes and steering wheel as well as keep a safe distance between other drivers.
