Tonight, February 15, City Council will consider approving the alcohol permit at Reading Cinemas in Valley Plaza Mall.

Approving this would allow the movie theater to sell alcohol in all 16 auditoriums. Beer, wine and spirits would be allowed at the theater.

City staff recommends the council moving forward with approving the resolution.

The group, “Neighbors for a Safe Valley Plaza," have filed an appeal.

This submission for an alcohol permit comes just a few days after two men were arrested at Valley Plaza with loaded guns.
