The Bakersfield City Council approved the installation of artificial dens for kit foxes Wednesday night.
The city accepted the bid submitted by Red Hawk Services in Perris, CA. The contract amount was for $51,279.60.
Artificial dens will be installed in 16 locations in protected areas for kit foxes.
