BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Community Action Partnership of Kern is asking for volunteers to help with their food drive. The Feed the Need food drive will take place next Tuesday, September 24th. It will be at the Kern County Fairgrounds from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The CPK Food Bank is partnering with the Kern County Fair to collect food for those in need in Bakersfield and Kern County.
CAPK needs help collecting and sorting donated food at the three fair entrances on the day of the event.
To volunteer call 398-4520. Fairgoers will also have the chance to earn a free ticket into the fair during the food drive when they donate four or more cans of unexpired food.
