Community awakens to graffiti after Halloween
Posted

Residents of Emerald Cove in Northwest Bakersfield, woke up to find the entrance to their community had been vandalized.

Graffiti all across the main entrance can be found as residents drive in to their community on Hageman and Emerald Cove.

Residents say even though this might have been a Halloween trick, it does not make it any better.

Linda Chapman says she has lived in this area for 30 years and this is the first time she has seen anything like this.

Chapman and her neighbors hope this vandalism will not continue. Saying they will be on the look-out for anyone else looking to do the same.

Community members have contacted Kern County General Services' Graffiti Hotline, and hope to have the entrance to their community cleaned within the coming days.
