The Kern County Coroner's Office has identified the man killed in a crash with a utility pole.
On Monday, 68-year-old Abel Valenzuela was in a medical transport van when the van collided with a utility pole in the area of 24th Street and Alder on Monday.
Valenzuela was pronounced dead at the scene.
It's not known what caused the van to collide with the pole.
