Roadway back open after crash involving semi-truck on southbound I-5 near Taft Highway

(UPDATE 8:55 p.m.) The California Highway Patrol is reporting that roads are back open following a crash involving a semi-truck on Interstate 5 near Taft Highway.


A crash involving a semi-truck on Interstate 5 is blocking both lanes of southbound traffic.

According to the California Highway Patrol traffic incident website, the crash happened just before 8 p.m. near Taft Highway.

Both lanes of southbound traffic are impacted, but according to the CHP website, traffic will be able to get around the incident in the center divider.

CHP is asking for Caltrans to activate electronic signs to warn drivers of slow traffic in the area.

Officials have not updated the website with injuries of those involved.
