The California Faculty Association has announced dates for a strike that would cover all 23 California State University schools.
The faculty association approved a strike last year as it works to negotiate a contract with the CSU system.
The faculty has set April 13-15 and April 18-19 as dates thousands of faculty members will go on strike, impacting all campuses, including Cal State Bakersfield.
The CFA says it is trying to get a five-percent general salary increase for all faculty members. They say CSU management has offered two percent.
"We've said all along that we don't want to strike, but we will if we have to," said Dr. Jennifer Eagan, CFA president.
