California State University, Bakersfield's class of 2017 is the largest graduating class yet.

The university is expecting record participation from students and guests for its 47th annual commencement.

There will be two undergraduate ceremonies on Friday, May 19 and a Graduate and Hooding Ceremony on Thursday, May 18.

Nearly 1,973 undergraduates and 442 master's degree candidates are applying for graduation.
