CSUB PD investigating 3 sex assaults on campus

Posted

CSUB police are investigating three sex assault related cases on campus.

Police chief Marty Williamson told 23ABC the investigations are all separate and the cases are not related. The three assaults allegedly happened within 30 days.

As 23ABC news first reported last week, the first assault happened in the dorms on February 5th. The second assault was a sexual battery allegation on campus on February 27th. The third allegation was another sexual assault in the dorms on march 22nd.

Chief Williamson says he didn't issue a campus alert because the department determined there was no immediate threat to the students.

Some students on campus told 23ABC they did not know about the attacks but said they would be more cautious until the cases are resolved.

Chief Williamson reassures students that their campus is safe.
