BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Fox Theater Foundation announced that David Marcus will be honored with a Star on the “Walk of Stars” this Saturday.

The dedication ceremony is open to the public and will be held on 20th Street side of the Historic Bakersfield Fox Theater at 10:30 AM Saturday September 14. Following the ceremony, doors will open at 11:30 am for a 12:30pm showing of God’s Not Dead.

David, known as Mr. Bakersfield, passed away in June after losing his ongoing battle with cancer.

The theater also said that donations will be collected for The David Marcus Thumbs Up Scholarship Foundation.
