The Dolores Huerta Foundation is holding a press conference Wednesday to announce they will be participating in a nationwide fast in support of more than 2,400 families that have been detained and separated by ICE agents.
The foundation is hoping that this will show how committed they are to the Keep Families Together Act.
The organization is calling on Congressman Kevin McCarthy to use his role as House Majority leader to support the act.
The press conference happens Friday at 10 a.m. and will begin at Congressman McCarthy's office at 4100 Empire Drive.
