The Kern Federal Credit Union is hosting an Earth Day Extravaganza on Saturday. 

The event includes free community recycling, gardening activities for kids, music and giveaways.

Earth Day Extravaganza is happening from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Riverlakes Branch on Coffee Road near Hageman Road.

The event will also feature music, crafts for kids, sustainable efforts vendors, and giveaways. Pita Paradise will have a food truck on site.

There's also free and secure document shredding by Metro Record Storage Shredding. Clothing donations are also being asked for.

Bring in e-waste to recycle and CRV materials like plastic, aluminum, glass and cardboard.
