Are you tired of seeing dumped tires across Kern County?
An effort is now underway to clean up the mess. Cal Recycle announced nearly $6 million in grants will be dedicated to cleaning up tire waste statewide.
The City of Bakersfield received more than $50,000 and Kern County received nearly $140,000.
The extra money will help agencies find and properly dispose of dumped tires.
