An explosion was reported at the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launch site on Thursday at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. 

Twitter reports shows scenes of fire at the launch pad, while people on Twitter reported the test exploded. 

According to The Associated Press, NASA said SpaceX was doing a routine test firing of an unmanned rocket set to send an Israeli satellite into space this weekend.  

SpaceX has had a test fail. The company's attempt to land a leftover booster failed in January, according to The Associated Press.
