At 11 a.m. Oct. 13, a ceremony will pay homage to the milestone flight made seven decades ago. Yeager is expected to be present during the event, and retired Brig. Gen. Robert Cardenas who flew the B-29 carried the X-1 will speak during the ceremony. Also (Astronaut from NASA).
