Fidget Spinners are the new trend for kids

The gadgets are originally designed to help focus
Posted

Fidget Spinners seem to be the newest trend for kids in school, and sales at Amelia’s Boutique is proof of that. They started selling these small, spinning toys just two weeks ago, and in that span of time have already sold out three times. They estimate they’ve sold thousands.

The gadgets are designed to help special needs people focus better because spinning the small toy is calming.

Some teachers have banned the new trend, though. Ian Buskarich is in a special needs classroom, but his teacher banned Fidget Spinners during class. His peers still turn to them during their breaks to help focus.

“Some kids like to get angry and when they feel like no I don’t want to calm down so you just want to play with this for a while for like five minutes and then you’re all cooled down because you don’t want to stop playing with this,” he says.

The Fidget Spinners start at around $8 and come in many styles and designs.
