Filling Station closes after health officials find live roaches near espresso drain line

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Filling Station closed on Monday after health officials found live roaches along the coffee shop's espresso drain line, according to the Kern County Public Health Services Department.

The county's Safe Diner page said that the business, which is located on 24th Street in Central Bakersfield has continued to operate with an "active vermin infestation." Health officials reportedly discovered an "abundance of live roaches along espresso drain line under drink station counter."

The Filling Station is currently closed and will remain closed until a deep clean of the facility is completed, officials said.
