A fire broke out at a motel in south Bakersfield just before 6:00 a.m. Wednesday morning
It happened at the El Don Motel on south Union Avenue and Belle Terrace.
The Kern County Fire Department and Bakersfield Fire Department were both on scene fighting the blaze. Fire crews say the motel was abandoned and there is currently no power in the building.
No word on what caused this fire.
