The most important meal of the day is now on the menu for free at McDonald's, at least for one day.

On Tuesday, all McDonald's restaurants throughout Kern County will be offering free breakfasts to students in grades kindergarten through eighth. 

Students can get a free breakfast muffin sandwich, apple slices or Yoplait Go-Gurt and milk. 

The deal is for kids 13 or younger and runs from 6:30-9:30 a.m.
