A teacher’s aide in the Fresno Unified School District is facing felony charges after police discovered the suspect was having sex with an underage student with special needs, KFSN-TV in Fresno reported.
Police said it started back in the fall of 2015.
Authorities believe the relationship between the student and 35-year-old Theresa Marie Ramirez was on-and-off for around a year. Ramirez was also providing the student with alcohol.
The two worked together closely. Ramirez brought the Hoover High School student back to her apartment on multiple occasions to have sex with him, KFSN-TV reported.
Ramirez faces four felony counts including statutory rape and a misdemeanor for supplying alcohol to a minor.
