23ABC took a ride with Kern County Public Health as they find some food trucks violating health codes.
Their job was to check on mobile food vehicles who they say have received complaints.
In cases when there is no permit or health codes have been violated, officials will take away the cooked or perishable items.
Often times leaving the vendors frustrated.
But health officials say they are only protecting the public and they strive to make sanitation their priority.
