A lockdown has been lifted at Golden Valley High and McKee Middle School.
Kern High School District officials say a lockdown was placed at 11:37 a.m., but it was lifted just before noon on Thursday.
An operator at Golden Valley High said they are on lockdown "as a precaution".
It's not known what's caused the lockdown.
