Three people have suffered major injuries after a head-on collision on Weedpatch Highway on Friday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a 17- or 18-year-old girl may have been on her cell phone and drifted into oncoming traffic heading northbound, colliding with the other car at Hermosa Road. 

In all, three people suffered major injuries. All were transported to Kern Medical.
