BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Inaugural Kern County STEMposium is set for Friday, May 19th at the Bakersfield College Gymnasium.

Students, businesses, and the community are coming together to share information on “all things STEM.”

The event is being described as a place where “science fair meets job fair.”

High school students will demonstrate their innovative STEM projects, while businesses display equipment and demonstrate skills needed to be successful in the workplace.

Speakers will take over the STEM Stage, delivering informative talks that will benefit students, educators, and businesses alike.

Middle school students will have an opportunity to explore the exhibits put on by older students and businesses.

College students will host a makerspace along with other activities designed to give students hands-on experience with designing and creating their own products.

Anyone interested in presenting an interactive, STEM-related booth (without being a cash sponsor) should email a description of their exhibit to Courtney@kedc.com.

A limited number of complimentary booth spaces are available for selected applicants.
