Information session for tuition-free, online public school: California Connections Academy @ Central

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – California Connections Academy @ Central is a tuition-free, online public school.

 

The online institution serves students in grades K-12. Residents in Tulare, Fresno, Kern, Kings, and Inyo Counties are eligible to enroll in the program.

 

A free information session will be held tonight from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Four Points by Sheraton on 5101 California Avenue.

 

Families will have an opportunity to meet with a California Connections Academy teacher, thoroughly explore the school’s program and curriculum, and learn about the enrollment process.

 

Other topics that will be highlighted include: how teachers interact with students in the virtual environment, personalized learning opportunities including options for accelerated learning and gifted programs, college preparation, socialization, the role of the parent or other Learning Coach, and the use of technology.
