Junior League awards money to local groups

10 local non-profit organizations received grants Tuesday night from the Junior League of Bakersfield.
 
More than $30,000 was split between four organizations.
Garden Pathways was given $17,000 for two years and the Gap Enrichment Program was awarded $2,000.
 
Bethany Homeless Center was awarded two separate grants, one for the homeless center and another for birthday parties for homeless children.
 
The Alliance Against Family Violence and Sexual Abuse was given nearly $5,000 dollars.
 
Other organizations that benefited include Marley's Mutts and The Boys and Girls Clubs of Kern County.
